26 November 2007 QANGO RE-RELEASE! Dave was a founding member of Qango which also featured John Wetton on bass and vocals, Carl Palmer on drums and John Young on keyboards. The band was well-received, but only had the opportunity to release one album, Live in the Hood, which was in very limited edition. (Dave also met Keith Emerson while playing with Qango and that meeting spurred the formation of the Keith Emerson Band) We are pleased to announce that Qango's Live in the Hood Album is available in re-release from the Store for Music at www.thestoreformusic.com. On September 20th, the VH1 Save The Music Foundation will mark ten years of restoring music education programs in more than 1,500 United States public schools with a Gala celebration at the Tent at Lincoln Center in New York City. The celebration pays tribute to many who have helped contribute to the cause including:Former President Bill Clinton, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, VH1 Save The Music founder John Sykes, Mariah Carey and NAMM, The International Music Products Association. In addition, a group of students from VH1 Save The Music grant recipient schools across the country will play together for the first time as an all-student orchestra, demonstrating the impact of the VH1 Save The Music Foundation. Dave will be performing with Roger Waters at the event, where they will play a Pink Floyd song along with an all student orchestra and choir. Dave, Roger, Andy and the girls entertained the enthusiastic crowd with intimate renditions of Wish You Were Here, Flickering Flame and Another Brick in the Wall. The Fifteen hundred dollar a head dinner and show took place at Cipriani's on 42nd Street - a renowned NYC restaurant. The performers also included actress Ashley Judd, singer John Legend, and guitarist Raul Midon. Millennium promise was formed by economist Jeffrey Sachs and philanthropist Ray Chambers. They want to end extreme poverty and hunger in the entire world by 2015. Roger Waters is a key supporter of the cause and has recently provided an interview with CNN on the charity.

The Ottawa show, originally scheduled for June 4th, will now take place on June 6th. The show in Quebec originally scheduled for June 6th will now take place on the fourth.
